Reuters: Gunmen kill Interior Ministry legal advisor

Gunmen shot dead Major General Fakhir Abdul Mohsen, a legal adviser in the Interior Ministry, as he left his house in the western Mansour district of the capital, police said.
 
AFP: British soldier wounded in Basra

A British soldier was wounded Tuesday when he came under attack by suspected Shiite miltiamen during a routine patrol in the main southern city of Basra, a British spokesman said, adding that the injuries were not life threatening.
 
AFP: 6 bodies found Baghdad, 3 in Suwayrah

Six bodies were found in the Wahda neighborhood of Baghdad, shot in the head and showing signs of torture, while three more coprses, one of them headless, were found in the town of Suwayrah southeast of the capital, police said.
 
AFP: Policemen and civilians wounded in baghdad attacks

Four policemen were wounded when a roadside bomb hit their patrol in the Al-Baladiyat neighbourhood of southeast Baghdad, while four civilians were wounded when a bomb went off in their home in the town of Iskandiriyah, south of the capital.
